Kei Tsukamaki is no stranger to winning awards. The Japanese language teacher from Juanita High School was the recipient of the American Association of Teachers of Japanese (AATJ) 2022 Teacher Award in the K-12 category. Now, she has been given the Washington Association for Language Teaching (WAFLT) Teacher of the Year award.

Juanita High School’s Jazz Ensemble opened up the festivities for the 50th anniversary of the Kingsgate Library on October 14.
Juanita High School (JHS) hosted voluntary heart screenings for area students on October 4 to try and identify any students who may have heart abnormalities.
More than 2,000 families were on site for the first annual Eastside Back-To-School Block Party at Juanita High School.
