Rising Ravens Flight School

We are excited to welcome our incoming 9th graders to Juanita High School!

Who: All incoming 9th grade students (Class of 2030)

When: Thursday, August 27, from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Where: Meet outside the JHS Fieldhouse entrance (map below)

What is Flight School?

Flight School is Juanita High School’s Link Crew 9th Grade Orientation. This student-led experience is designed to help freshmen transition smoothly into high school.

During the morning, students will:

  • Meet their Link Leaders (trained upperclassmen mentors)
  • Get to know their new classmates
  • Participate in fun team-building challenges
  • Take a tour of the JHS campus
  • Hear from Link Leaders about “what every ninth grader should know”
  • Have an opportunity to purchase Raven Gear at the Student Store
  • Become familiar with school routines, expectations, and spaces

Why Attend?

Flight School gives 9th graders a chance to:

  • Feel more comfortable and prepared for high school
  • Make early connections with peers and mentors
  • Get a “head start” before the building fills with all students

We strongly encourage all incoming freshmen to attend this important and fun event!

Students should arrive with snacks and water and wear loose-fitting clothes and comfortable footwear. This will be an activity-filled morning!

Please reach out to Breck Ivy or Travis Salmi if you have questions or have any requests for accommodation.
