College Board Accommodations: Students who need accommodations for the PSAT or SAT must request them through the College Board’s Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD). Even if you have accommodations through the school, you don't automatically receive them for College Board tests. The process can take up to seven weeks, so it's important to start early. Accommodations might include extended time, additional breaks, or other supports. Once you are approved for accommodations through the College Board, you are set until the end of high school. To request accommodations, students or parents should contact our SSD Coordinator, Lynn Lawrence, at llawrence@lwsd.org, or visit the College Board Accommodations website for more information. If you have a 504 or IEP and have questions about testing accommodations, please reach out to your case managers.
Study Materials: Don't forget to prepare! There are plenty of study materials available for both the PSAT and SAT. Check out these resources to help you get ready:
Super Wednesday is designed to help students prepare for college admissions and future academic success. It's an important day for our students, so please ensure they are well-rested and ready to do their best!

More Information About State Testing and Graduation Pathways
Washington public high school students take the Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBA) for English Language Arts (ELA) and math in grade 10. Grade 11 students take the Washington Comprehensive Assessment of Science (WCAS). Results from these assessments provide meaningful feedback and data that teachers and other educators can use to help students succeed. In addition, the results provide data to help evaluate school-level and district-wide instructional strategies, initiatives and other programs.
The ELA and math assessments are one of the ways a student can meet a state-required “graduation pathway.”
In 2019, the Washington State Legislature provided students in the class of 2020 and beyond with multiple pathways to graduation by passing House Bill (HB) 1599. For most students, meeting standard on the state assessment will be the first pathway option available in high school. All students, regardless of which graduation pathway they intend to use, are expected to take the statewide ELA and math assessments during 10th grade and to incorporate their results in their High School and Beyond Plan.
For these reasons, we recommend that students initially plan to use the state assessment to meet the graduation pathway option requirement and take advantage of additional pathway options that are aligned with their High School and Beyond Plan as appropriate.

SBA Test Results
Individual scores for the SBA exams administered this past spring for ELA and math are being delivered electronically from the testing vendor. Scores (level and scale score) will be added to Family Access in June, 2025. Full-page PDF reports with more scoring details will be available from OSPI in the fall, and these will be posted to Family Access at that time.
Only SBA ELA and math scores will be available in June. Science scores will not be available until the fall after OSPI releases those scores.
Directions to access SBA test scores beginning on June, 2025:
1. To access Lake Washington School District’s Skyward portal, click on the Family Access link on the district website.
2. Log in to Skyward Family Access with your username and password.*
