Rotary Club Scholarships
The Rotary Club of Kirkland's 2026 Scholarship Program is now open for applications! Each year, the Rotary Club of Kirkland awards several scholarships to support outstanding students as they pursue higher education.
This year's scholarships include:
• Kirkland Rotary Scholarship
• Charles O. Morgan Communications Scholarship
• Kirkland Rotary Business & Accounting Scholarship
• Kirkland Rotary Diversity Leadership Scholarship
• Kirkland Rotary Education Scholarship
These scholarships recognize students for a variety of achievements and are designed to support students with financial need and academic promise who demonstrate service to their communities. Awards are for attendance at an accredited higher education institution in the state of Washington, including colleges, universities, art institutes, technical colleges, cosmetology schools, and trade schools.
Key Dates:
March 10, 2026: Applications open
April 30, 2026: Applications due (including recommendation letter, transcript, and digital self-interview)
May 11, 2026: Recipients notified
June 1, 2026: Scholarship Awards Night (attendance required)

2026 Congressional Art Competition
Each spring, a nationwide high school arts competition is sponsored by the Members of the U.S. House of Representatives. The 2026 Congressional Art Competition is open to all high school students in the First District. Students can submit their artwork to our office, which will be judged by a panel of local artists and awarded in various categories (first place, two runners-up, judges favorite, etc.). The winning artwork from each district will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol and each winner is invited and flown out to a reception in Washington D.C. with fellow winning artists from all over the country.
All submissions are due to the Office of Rep. DelBene by April 17th, 2026, at 4:00PM.
Award ceremony and reception will be held on April 25th in the early afternoon (final timing/location TBA).
How to Submit Artwork:
- Double check that you reside in Rep. DelBene’s District here.
- Fill out the online WA01 Submission Form.
- Double check that your piece is framed according to hanging rules.
- Fill out & attach a completed student release form to the back of your physical artwork.
- Mail or drop off your art piece: Office of Rep. Suzan DelBene, Re: Art Competition, 520 112th Ave NE, Suite 400-C, Bellevue, WA 98004. If submitting photography, you need to print and frame your photograph for judging.

Seattle Children's Summer Career Camps
Applications have just opened for THREE 2026 high school summer camps!
- The application for Seattle Children's Nurse Camp is now open! During this five-day camp, students will gain insight into the world of pediatric nursing by participating in clinical observation sessions. In these sessions, students will shadow nurses in a clinical environment and observe as they provide patient care and interact with patients and families. Camp dates: July 13 - July 17, 2026. - The application for Seattle Children’s Mental & Behavioral Health Camp is now open! During this five-day camp, students will explore careers within the mental & behavioral health field. By participating in hands-on skills and observing the day-to-day workflow of professionals, students will gain insight into various roles within pediatric mental health. - The application for Seattle Children’s Scrubs & ‘Scopes Camp is now open! During this five-day camp, students will explore various allied health careers by job shadowing medical assistants, pharmacists, laboratory scientists and technicians/technologists in Pharmacy, Radiology, Surgery, Sterile Processing and Anesthesia in a clinical environment, observing as they provide patient care.
