PSAT/NMSQT
What is the PSAT/NMSQT?
The PSAT/NMSQT is the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. The purpose of the PSAT is to familiarize students with the kinds of questions, style of directions, and physical environment of an SAT exam, and provides students with a projected SAT score range, personalized feedback, and a study plan. Eleventh grade students who take the PSAT/NMSQT are also automatically screened for the National Merit®Scholarship Program; an academic competition for recognition and scholarships.

PSAT Testing for all 10th graders and interested 11th graders will take place on October 23, 2024.
- 10th graders are expected to take the PSAT. LWSD will pay the testing fee for all 10th graders.
- 11th graders have the option to take the PSAT. The cost for 11th graders is $18, or $0 for students who receive Free/Reduced meals. Once payment is received, students will automatically be registered for the test. Payments can be made online here, or in person at the Bookkeeper window where card, check or cash will be accepted.
SAT
What is the SAT?
The SAT is a test is used by many colleges and universities in the admissions process. The district is only allowed to offer the SAT without essay in the fall. Achieving a certain score on the SAT is one of the methods to meet the Graduation Pathway requirement in Washington State.

SAT testing will be offered to 12th graders on October 23, 2024.

The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a test that assesses your qualifications for enlistment and helps determine suitable job roles within the military. Preparing thoroughly for this test is crucial.
